The rhinoceros — often called the “Guardian of the Grasslands” — is one of Earth’s most powerful yet gentle giants. Found across parts of Africa and Asia, rhinos are ancient wanderers that have roamed our planet for millions of years. Despite their massive size and strong, horned appearance, these magnificent herbivores are peaceful creatures that spend their days grazing, resting, and wallowing in the mud to stay cool. Their horns, made of keratin (the same protein as human hair and nails), have made them targets of poaching — leaving many species endangered and in need of protection.
With every piece I create, my goal is not only to inspire and entertain but also to educate — embedding fascinating facts like these directly into my artwork.
For this Rhino piece, I carefully selected words like majestic, resilient, and protective, along with phrases such as “Keeper of the Plains,” “Ancient Wanderer,” and “Guardian of the Grasslands.” In total, you’ll find over 60 words and phrases hidden throughout the design, each one honoring the rhino’s courage, wisdom, and steadfast strength.
Every piece of my art is digitally hand-drawn, one letter at a time, with no word or phrase ever repeated. Depending on the complexity, each artwork takes between 6 and 60 hours to complete.
I hope this piece serves as a tribute to one of nature’s most noble survivors — powerful, peaceful, and timelessly wise.
